This page explains how advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, and related technologies may support Knitsoul—and how we keep commercial relationships separate from editorial decisions.
At a glance
Not every format appears on every page. Knitsoul will update this disclosure as its advertising and sponsorship arrangements change.
When enabled, display ads may be served by Google or other approved advertising providers.
A paid article, video, or placement will include a prominent sponsorship disclosure near the beginning.
Affiliate relationships are explained separately in the Affiliate Disclosure.
Where required, you can manage advertising and analytics choices through the consent interface.
This Knitsoul Advertising Disclosure applies to knitsoul.net and to commercial content published or controlled by Knitsoul. It covers display advertising, paid sponsorships, complimentary products, affiliate relationships, and other material connections that could affect how a reasonable reader evaluates content.
A separate disclosure may also appear on an individual article, pattern, email, or social post. The specific disclosure closest to the commercial content should be read together with this page.
↑ Back to topKnitsoul may display advertising supplied by third-party advertising providers. When Google advertising services are enabled, Google and participating vendors may use cookies, local storage, device information, IP addresses, web beacons, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, limit, or personalize advertising.
Ad inventory, creative content, targeting, and delivery may be controlled partly by the advertising provider or advertiser. An advertisement appearing on Knitsoul does not mean that Knitsoul has tested, endorsed, or verified every claim made in that advertisement.
Sponsored content is content for which Knitsoul receives money, products, services, travel, access, discounts, or another material benefit from a brand or partner. A sponsorship does not guarantee positive coverage, a recommendation, or control over Knitsoul’s final editorial conclusions.
Where required, a clear disclosure will appear near the beginning of the relevant content, before or close to the endorsement, recommendation, or commercial message. Disclosures will use plain language rather than vague terms.
This post is sponsored by [Brand]. Knitsoul received compensation for creating this content. The project notes and opinions are our own.
Knitsoul may decline a sponsorship that conflicts with its audience, content standards, legal obligations, or editorial priorities.
↑ Back to topAffiliate links are commercial links that may allow Knitsoul to earn a commission or referral fee after an eligible click, sign-up, or purchase. The amount paid by a retailer or platform does not normally increase the price displayed to the reader, although prices, taxes, shipping, and promotions are controlled by the third party.
Affiliate links should be qualified with rel="sponsored" or another
appropriate relationship attribute. Individual pages containing affiliate links
should also include a visible reader-facing disclosure. For complete details, read
the Knitsoul Affiliate Disclosure.
Commercial relationships may influence whether Knitsoul agrees to produce a sponsored deliverable, but they do not entitle an advertiser to undisclosed editorial control. Knitsoul aims to separate ordinary editorial decisions from ad sales, sponsorship negotiations, and affiliate compensation.
Agreed deliverables, factual review for brand-name accuracy, campaign timing, and reporting described in a written agreement.
A guaranteed positive opinion, undisclosed placement, false claims, removal of material limitations, or ownership of unrelated editorial content.
If a product was provided free of charge, loaned, discounted, or supplied through a press sample program, that material connection may be disclosed even when there was no cash payment.
↑ Back to topAdvertising providers may collect or receive information needed to serve and measure ads, detect invalid activity, prevent fraud, control ad frequency, and understand campaign performance. Depending on the provider and your choices, this information may include browser or device data, IP address, approximate location, page activity, ad interactions, identifiers, and consent signals.
The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information processed on Knitsoul. The Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies in more detail.
Third-party vendors, including Google when its advertising services are enabled, may place or read cookies or use similar technologies. Google and its advertising partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on visits to Knitsoul or other websites, subject to applicable law and consent choices.
↑ Back to topPersonalized advertising may use information about interests, previous activity, or inferred preferences. Non-personalized advertising is generally selected using contextual information such as the page topic, coarse location, or current device, but it may still use limited cookies or similar technologies for functions such as frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement.
Where consent is legally required, non-essential advertising storage or personalization should not be activated until the required choice has been obtained and communicated to the applicable advertising provider.
Depending on the format, readers may see labels such as:
Display ads should be visually separate from pattern steps, charts, download buttons, navigation, and editorial calls to action. Knitsoul does not intentionally design ads to look like pattern instructions or site controls.
↑ Back to topThe controls available to you depend on your region, browser, device, consent settings, and the advertising providers active on the Site.
Reopen the consent interface to review or change optional cookie and advertising settings. This button is configured for CookieYes.
Opt-out tools may rely on cookies or browser storage, so deleting browser data, switching browsers, or using another device may require you to repeat your choices.
↑ Back to topKnitsoul may use provider controls to block or limit certain advertisers, topics, formats, or landing pages. Because many display ads are selected and delivered automatically, Knitsoul cannot review every advertisement before it appears or guarantee that every ad will be relevant, accurate, or suitable for every reader.
If you see an ad that appears misleading, unsafe, offensive, broken, or unrelated, please take a screenshot if possible and use the Contact page. Include the page URL, approximate time, country, device, and any visible advertiser information so the placement can be investigated.
↑ Back to topNot necessarily. Many display ads are supplied automatically by third-party systems. An ad placement does not by itself represent editorial endorsement, testing, or verification by Knitsoul.
A sponsor may be allowed to check factual brand details or agreed deliverables, but that does not automatically give the sponsor control over Knitsoul’s honest opinions, required disclosures, or material limitations.
Not always. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies or similar technologies for limited purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention.
Ads can vary because of location, device, page context, available inventory, consent choices, frequency limits, advertiser targeting, and provider systems.
Knitsoul may update this Advertising Disclosure when monetization methods, advertising providers, sponsorship practices, consent tools, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date.
