The story
Why Knitsoul exists
Knitting and crochet can look deceptively simple from the outside. Then a beginner meets unfamiliar abbreviations, yarn labels, tool sizes, tension problems, and patterns that assume too much too soon. I created Knitsoul to make those first steps feel clearer.
A beginner can open a pattern, see instructions such as “ch 3, dc in next st, sk 2,” and feel as though they are reading another language. Knitsoul exists so that feeling does not last long.
My goal is not to help someone fill a craft room or rush toward complicated projects. I want to help each reader choose one approachable project, understand the materials, learn the next useful skill, and finish something they are proud to keep or give.
I am building Knitsoul around transparent tutorial standards. When a guide includes original making notes, step photography, printable resources, or testing observations, I identify those elements clearly so readers know exactly what is included.

Hi, I'm Sophie
I am the maker and editor behind Knitsoul. I created this space for people who are drawn to yarn, texture, and handmade projects but are not sure where to begin.
My role is to turn a large craft into a series of smaller, understandable choices: which yarn to buy, which tool size to use, which stitch to practice next, and which first project has a realistic chance of being finished.
I favor calm explanations, practical materials, and projects that fit real homes and real schedules. I publish new guides carefully, with supporting resources listed clearly on each page.
Away from the screen, I am drawn to slow mornings, warm tea, and the quiet rhythm of making something one row at a time.
