Knitsoul Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

You may use the Site only in compliance with these Terms and all laws that apply to you. If you use the Site on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that entity.

The Site is intended for a general audience. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of online services and craft tools where appropriate. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Educational Use and Crafting Safety

Knitsoul provides crochet, knitting, yarn, tool, and craft information for general educational and inspirational purposes. Instructions may need to be adjusted for your materials, gauge, skill level, equipment, and local conditions.

Crafting may involve needles, hooks, scissors, blocking tools, heat, dyes, small parts, and fibers that may not be suitable for every person or environment. You are responsible for choosing appropriate materials, reading manufacturer instructions, supervising children and pets, and using tools safely.

3. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its original content—including written tutorials, pattern instructions, charts, photographs, illustrations, graphics, logos, branding, layout, and downloadable files—are owned by or licensed to Knitsoul and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access the Site. They do not transfer ownership of any content, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual-property right.

Nothing in these Terms restricts fair use, fair dealing, quotation, or any other right that applicable law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.

4. Pattern and Project Permissions

Unless a pattern or download includes different license terms, the following permissions apply:

Finished items must be represented honestly. You are responsible for product quality, labeling, taxes, safety, customer service, and compliance with laws that apply to anything you sell.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Site to:

• Violate a law, regulation, court order, or another person’s rights.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with Knitsoul.
• Transmit malware, malicious code, spam, or disruptive automated requests.
• Circumvent access controls, security features, rate limits, or usage restrictions.
• Scrape, harvest, data-mine, or use Site content to train or improve an automated model or commercial dataset without prior written permission, except where applicable law expressly permits the activity.
• Remove copyright notices, credits, watermarks, or rights-management information.
• Use the Site or its content in a way that could damage Knitsoul’s reputation or confuse users about sponsorship or ownership.

6. Comments and User Content

If the Site allows comments, questions, reviews, photographs, project notes, or other submissions (“User Content”), you remain responsible for what you submit. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit that material and that it does not violate these Terms.

By submitting User Content, you grant Knitsoul a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and moderate that content as reasonably needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve the Site. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable backups, legal obligations, and material already shared by others.

Knitsoul may review, refuse, hide, edit for formatting, or remove User Content that appears unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, off-topic, or promotional. We are not required to publish or preserve any submission.

7. Affiliate and Sponsored Content

Some pages may contain affiliate links, advertisements, gifted products, or sponsored content. Knitsoul may receive compensation when you click or purchase through an eligible link, at no additional cost to you. Commercial relationships will be disclosed where required.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The Site may link to retailers, video platforms, social networks, embedded tools, payment services, advertising providers, or other third parties. Knitsoul does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, or terms.

A link does not necessarily mean that Knitsoul endorses every statement, product, or service on the linked site. Your dealings with a third party are between you and that third party.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Knitsoul does not promise that the Site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every project.

Pattern results vary with yarn, dye lot, hook or needle size, gauge, tension, substitutions, blocking, technique, and individual interpretation. You are responsible for deciding whether information or materials are suitable for your circumstances.

Nothing on the Site is professional legal, medical, financial, product-safety, or other regulated advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Knitsoul and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or opportunities arising from or related to the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or reduces mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

11. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

Knitsoul may update the Site, remove content, change features, or revise these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms take effect means that you accept the revised Terms.

Knitsoul may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Site, users, intellectual property, or legal rights. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.

12. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms are interpreted under the laws that apply to the operator of Knitsoul, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. No provision in these Terms requires you to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Before beginning formal proceedings, please contact Knitsoul with a clear description of the issue and the resolution you are requesting so that the parties can try to resolve the matter informally.

13. Copyright and Rights Concerns

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, please use the Contact page and include:

• Your name and reliable contact information.
• A description of the work or right you believe is affected.
• The exact URL or location of the material on Knitsoul.
• An explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
• A statement that the information you provide is accurate and made in good faith.

Knitsoul may request additional information before acting and may preserve records where required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
