Knitsoul Affiliate Disclosure
This page explains when Knitsoul may earn compensation from links, product mentions, sponsored content, or other commercial relationships—and how we protect editorial independence.
Some links on Knitsoul are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, Knitsoul may receive a commission or other compensation. You do not pay a higher price because you used an affiliate link.
Our approach
Useful recommendations come before commissions
Commercial relationships are disclosed in plain language where readers can notice them before acting on a recommendation.
Compensation does not determine our conclusions, and a higher commission does not make a product more suitable.
We aim to explain who a product may suit, where it may fall short, and when a simpler or lower-cost option may work.
What Affiliate Links Are
An affiliate link contains a tracking identifier supplied by a retailer, marketplace, or affiliate network. The identifier lets that company know that a visit or eligible transaction originated from Knitsoul. Depending on the program, compensation may be based on a qualifying purchase or another permitted action.
A marked product or retailer link takes you to an external website.
You may browse, compare, leave, or purchase. Using the link does not obligate you to buy.
If the program recognizes an eligible transaction, the retailer may pay Knitsoul a commission.
Retailers control their own tracking periods, eligibility rules, commission rates, returns, pricing, fulfillment, warranties, and customer service. Knitsoul does not control those terms.
↑ Back to topWhere Disclosures Appear
When an article, pattern guide, email, or other piece of content includes affiliate links or another material commercial relationship, we aim to place a short disclosure near the beginning of that content and, when useful, close to the relevant recommendation.
“This post may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, Knitsoul may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.”
A link to this full page provides additional detail, but it is not intended to replace a clear, nearby disclosure when one is needed.
↑ Back to topOur Recommendation Standards
Knitsoul publishes educational content about knitting, crochet, yarn, tools, patterns, and related craft supplies. Our goal is to make recommendations that are understandable and useful to the intended reader.
- Experience is described accurately. We distinguish firsthand use from research, comparison, manufacturer information, or community feedback.
- Commercial terms do not guarantee coverage. A product is not automatically featured because an affiliate relationship exists.
- Limitations matter. When relevant, we aim to discuss drawbacks, fit, skill level, care requirements, substitutions, or lower-cost options.
- Opinions may change. Products, prices, specifications, and our assessment can change as new information becomes available.
- No purchase is required. Readers can support Knitsoul simply by using the free content; buying through an affiliate link is always optional.
Affiliate Programs
Knitsoul may participate in affiliate programs operated by marketplaces, craft retailers, yarn and tool brands, pattern platforms, software providers, and affiliate networks. Relationships may be added, paused, or ended over time.
The presence of a retailer or brand name in editorial content does not necessarily mean that an affiliate relationship exists. Likewise, not every outbound product link is an affiliate link.
↑ Back to topSponsored Content and Paid Partnerships
Sponsored content is content for which Knitsoul receives payment, services, products, travel, access, or another material benefit in exchange for agreed coverage. When sponsored content is published, it will be identified with clear wording such as “Sponsored,” “Paid partnership,” or “This content was created in partnership with…”
A sponsor may confirm factual details about its own product or service, but we do not promise positive coverage. Sponsored content must still meet Knitsoul’s editorial and audience-relevance standards.
↑ Back to topGifted Products, Samples, and Discounts
If Knitsoul receives a free product, sample, loan, event access, or special discount that could reasonably affect how readers evaluate a recommendation, that relationship will be disclosed. Receiving an item does not guarantee publication or a favorable opinion.
When an item must be returned after review, we may describe it as a loaned or review sample where that distinction is relevant.
↑ Back to topPricing, Availability, and External Purchases
Prices, stock, delivery options, product details, promotions, and program terms can change without notice. Information shown on Knitsoul is provided for general guidance, but the retailer’s page at the time of purchase controls the transaction.
Before purchasing, review the retailer’s current description, total price, shipping terms, return policy, warranty, privacy policy, and any age or location restrictions that apply. Knitsoul is not the seller and generally cannot resolve order, delivery, return, or product-support issues.
↑ Back to topAffiliate Tracking and Cookies
Affiliate retailers and networks may use cookies, pixels, referral parameters, or similar technologies to attribute visits and eligible transactions. These technologies are controlled by the relevant third party and may be subject to its privacy policy and consent requirements.
For more information about how Knitsoul handles information, analytics, advertising technologies, and cookie choices, read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Where available, you can also reopen the consent panel through the website’s Cookie Settings link.
Commercial outbound links should be technically marked with rel="sponsored" or another appropriate qualifying value when implemented on the Site.
